Job summary

JobsTrackR in Basingstoke is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our engineering and manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves assembling, integrating and wiring systems to tight engineering and safety standards, using hand and power tools, and ensuring traceability documentation.

The ideal candidate has proven hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and fitting, with skills in installation, drilling and fastening, and the ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience within mechanical assembly and fitting.
• Experience of installation, drilling and fastening techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical schematics and wiring diagram.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business. This hands‑on role will see you assembling, integrating and mechanical and electrical systems while working to strict engineering and safety standards.

The role of a Mechanical Fitter will include:

• Mechanical assembly and integration of assemblies


• Drilling, fastening and structural assembly work


• Completing build documentation, certification records and component traceability paperwork


• Working in line with quality procedures, engineering standards and health and safety requirements


• Using hand and power tools

The ideal Mechanical Fitter should have the following skills and experience:

• Proven hands‑on experience within mechanical assembly and fitting


• Experience of installation, drilling and fastening techniques


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical schematics and wiring diagram
