Job description

Position: Mechanical Assembly

Salary: 13 - 14 per hour

Location: Daventry

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Proactive currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join a world-leading manufacturer based in Daventry.

Due to rapid company expansion and an increasing order book, our client is looking to recruit at least one additional Mechanical Assembler to maintain quality and accuracy throughout this growth.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Performing efficient and specification-compliant mechanical assembly, hydraulic installation, electrical wiring, and fabrication/fitting operations related to the manufacture, service, and repair of access platforms.
• Inspecting builds at all stages for quality and compliance with ISO 45001 procedures, ensuring a focus on quality throughout the manufacturing process to meet customer specifications.
• Organizing and controlling allocated operations effectively, with flexibility to train and support others in manufacturing processes.
• Adhering to health and safety standards, developing skills, and maintaining safety and quality during manufacturing and product assembly.
• Maintaining accurate systems and procedures, including reflecting parts consumption in engineering masters and works orders, and managing stock levels.
• Collaborating as part of a team to meet customer quality, delivery, cost, and innovation targets, including safety, quality defects, productivity, stock accuracy, and flow line adherence.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be/Have

• Experience in a hands-on assembly role.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, with high standards of spoken and written English.
