Job Description:

An initial 3-month rolling contract position, likely to be extended. You will work as a mechanical assembler for a company manufacturing test equipment for the automotive sector.

This role involves working for a global leader in the automotive industry, with sites worldwide and nearly 50,000 employees. The company has been operating for over 90 years and designs, manufactures, and supplies automotive equipment.

You will be working in a purpose-built facility, assembling both one-off and batch productions. Mechanical assembly experience is essential; electrical experience is a plus.

The work schedule is a 4-day week: Monday to Wednesday, 7am - 5pm; Thursday, 7am - 4:30pm. Overtime is available on Fridays and Saturdays from 7am to 2pm, with longer hours possible on some days.

Responsibilities include:

1. Mechanical build of products.
2. Mechanical assembly of machines.
3. Interpreting mechanical procedures and drawings.
4. Recording build status and faults accurately on transit documentation.

The hourly rate ranges from £15 to £20, payable via Umbrella or PAYE.
