Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Broxburn is seeking a skilled mechanic to service, repair and prepare cars for the road. You’ll diagnose issues, use diagnostic equipment and work on a wide range of models with a focus on quality and safety.

You’ll earn £40,000–£50,000 DOE with benefits, overtime paid at time and a half, and potential performance bonuses up to £9,000 every three years. 33 days leave, flexible hours, private healthcare, and EV accreditation training are provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines with a proactive approach.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting engine and mechanical/electrical components with diagnostics to diagnose issues.
• Repairing or replacing broken parts.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road testing vehicles after repairs to ensure quality.
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring tools are in good condition.
• Following checklists and completing documentation.
