Job summary

A vehicle maintenance service in Nuneaton is seeking an experienced Mechanic & MOT Tester to perform diagnostics, repairs, and conduct MOT tests. The ideal candidate will hold a valid MOT Tester certification and NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. This role offers a competitive salary and a supportive work environment.

• Strong understanding of electrical, braking, steering, and suspension systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of makes and models.
• Conduct thorough MOT tests ensuring vehicle safety and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with customers about vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
• Carry out servicing including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake checks.
• Repair or replace worn parts such as clutches, gearboxes, engines, and suspension components.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers about issues and recommended repairs.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and workshop procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the team for efficient workshop operations.
