Job summary

Vertu Toyota Ayr is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art workshop designed to support modern vehicle technology and technician development.

The role offers a basic salary up to £46,790 (41 hours/week) with an over-performance bonus. A £2,000 sign‑on bonus and £2,000 retention bonus are available. Training and career progression are emphasised in a future‑proof environment.

Qualifications

• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• MOT licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, service and repairs with focus on first‑time fixes.
• Operate in a modern, EV‑ready Toyota Ayr workshop with up‑to‑date diagnostic tech.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through quality workmanship and honesty.
• Support ongoing manufacturer training and career progression.

Join our team at Vertu Toyota Ayr and become a valued Vehicle Technician, working in a brand new, state‑of‑the‑art workshop designed to support modern vehicle technology, efficiency, and technician development.

We are offering a basic salary of up to £46,790, depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 41‑hour working week, plus an additional over‑performance bonus opportunity.

WE ARE OFFERING A £2,000 SIGN ON BONUS PAID IN MONTH 1, AND A £2,000 RETENTION BONUS PAID IN MONTH 13!

You’ll be joining a newly built, modern Toyota workshop, equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, tools, and EV‑ready facilities. Qualifications

We’re looking for technicians across all levels, and packages on offer are dependent upon experience and qualifications. You can expect salaries such as:

• Service & Maintenance Technician – up to £38,950
• Service & Diagnostic Technician – up to £41,410
• Senior Technician – up to £43,870
• Master Technician – up to £48,790

We Are Also Offering

• £1,500 sign-on bonus paid in month one
• £1,500 retention bonus paid in month 13

To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Have

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
