Job summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham is seeking a part-time MDT Coordinator (NHS AfC Band 4) to provide multi-disciplinary team meeting support across Arthroplasty, Bone Infection and Arthroscopy services. You will track patient journeys, ensure timely discussion, and record live minutes.

You will co-ordinate MDT meetings, gather past medical history, imaging or notes, and maintain accurate KPI data.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience of working with SharePoint and MS Teams.
• Experience of working in the NHS and using patient administration systems.
• Experience working as an MDT Coordinator.
• Knowledge of orthopaedic terminology.

Responsibilities

• Compile lists of patients to be discussed at each MDT meeting.
• Record attendance of members at MDT meetings and audit figures.
• Take live formal minutes of all cases discussed at MDT meetings.
• Assist in uploading imaging and requesting via IEP system.
• Liaise with regional trusts to obtain patient history and results.
• Ensure all notes and images are available for MDT meetings.
• Communicate required notes/reports to clerical staff.
• Provide training and support for clerical staff involved in MDT.
• Manage meeting structure to cover all patients and keep staff informed.
• Ensure action plans are produced and recorded in patient records.
