Job description

Job Title: Math's Tutor Working Pattern: 1x 18.5hrs Salary: £33,673- £36,581 pro rata Location: InspireU Louth Closing Date: 8th November Interviews: Friday 20th November

Are you passionate about inspiring and motivating young people to achieve their potential?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Tutor to deliver Maths sessions to young people at our Louth and Skegness Provision.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.

About the Role

InspireU learning environments are small, supportive and learner focused, with class sizes typically no bigger than 14-16 learners.

In this role you will deliver inspiring, engaging and adaptive sessions to young people aged 16-24, helping learners develop the skills, confidence and independence needed for adulthood, further learning and employment.

You will deliver qualifications from Entry Level through to GCSE, alongside RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement through Non-Accredited Learning) based programmes. This will involve 2 days delivery 1 day at our Skegness site on Thursday and 1 day at our Louth site on a Friday and additional half day of departmental duties.

Our teaching ethos is built around active learning, strong relationships and recognising the individual starting points of every learner. We are committed to ensuring all learners make meaningful progress.

Our vision is for every learner to realise and achieve their potential.

About Us

You will be part of a small, close-knit and supportive team where every day is different and full of opportunities to positively impact the lives of young people.

Our teams include Tutors, Wellbeing Coaches, Job Coaches, Provision Managers, Learning Support Assistants and Careers who all share the same vision - helping every learner realise and achieve their potential.

About You

Successful candidates may already hold a teaching qualification and will ideally have experience of working with young people, including those with additional needs, barriers to learning, challenging behaviour and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We will also consider applications from individuals who are not yet qualified teachers but have relevant vocational experience, subject knowledge or a passion for supporting young people and a willingness to train.

InspireU will support you on your journey by providing access to appropriate training, mentoring and coaching alongside classroom teaching experience.

You will:
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to motivate and engage learners
  • Have effective behaviour management skills
  • Be flexible and willing to travel to other sites when required
  • Be positive, solutions-focused mindset and a "can do" attitude
  • Be passionate about helping young people succeed

Whether you are an experienced tutor or looking for your first step into teaching, we would love to hear from you.
