The school is seeking someone who can explain concepts clearly, break down complex processes into manageable steps and encourage students to persevere when faced with unfamiliar questions.

The successful Maths Teacher will plan lessons that build progressively on prior knowledge, providing structured practice while allowing students to apply their skills independently. Teaching will cover the relevant areas of the curriculum, which may include number, algebra, geometry, statistics, ratio, proportion and probability, depending on the year groups taught.

Assessment will be an important element of the role. The successful applicant will monitor student understanding, identify misconceptions and provide timely feedback to support improvement. They will also help prepare students for formal examinations by developing mathematical accuracy, effective working methods and the ability to interpret questions carefully.

The department encourages collaboration between teachers, with shared resources and discussions around curriculum planning, student progress and intervention. The successful candidate will contribute to these activities while maintaining high expectations for all learners.

Applications are welcome from experienced teachers, ECTs and appropriately qualified overseas applicants who hold a recognised formal teaching qualification.
