Job summary

E-ACT North Birmingham Academy in Birmingham is seeking a Teacher of Maths to develop, plan and deliver high-quality learning for all students, ensuring progression is at the heart of every lesson.

You will assess and track progress, adapt teaching to varied abilities, and contribute to departmental planning and wider school life. A QTS or equivalent and a degree in maths are expected, with a commitment to our inclusive, ambitious ethos.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism (Mathematics).
• Ability to teach ‘good or outstanding’ lessons.
• Experience of teaching across the age and ability range.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that develop strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress to inform teaching and provide targeted support and intervention.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations and a passion for learning maths.
• Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations, ensuring confidence in concepts and techniques.
• Contribute to departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.
