Job summary

E-ACT North Birmingham Academy in Birmingham is seeking a Teacher of Maths to design and deliver high-quality lessons that build mathematical knowledge and confidence across the cohort. You will assess progress, tailor support, and drive attainment within an inclusive, ambitious culture.

The role requires QTS or recognised equivalent, a degree in the subject, and a track record of delivering good to outstanding lessons.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism.
• Ability to teach ‘good or outstanding’ lessons.
• Experience of teaching across the age and ability range.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support students of varying abilities in developing strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support and intervention where needed.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, good behaviour, and a passion for learning mathematics.
• Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations, ensuring they are confident in applying mathematical concepts and techniques.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development
