Job summary

Fernbrook College, based in Swindon, is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher on a long-term basis through TeacherActive. You will plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting methods to meet diverse needs and behaviour expectations in a SEND/SEMH context.

Qualified Teacher Status with Maths specialism is required, with ECTs welcome. You’ll join a supportive team and benefit from market-rate pay, ongoing CPD, and a PAYE payroll setup through TeacherActive.

South West/ temporary / £150 - 230 per day

Are you a qualified Maths Teacher with a passion for supporting young people with SEND / SEMH needs?

Do you have strong classroom management skills and experience supporting students with challenging behaviour?

Can you inspire and engage students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 through creative and adaptable teaching methods?

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Maths Teacher on a long-term basis, teaching students across KS3 and KS4 with SEND / SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages progress and achievement.

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with a Maths specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience supporting students with SEND / SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• The ability to differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for supporting young people
