Job summary

Milk Education are currently recruiting a passionate Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Durham on a long-term supply basis. The ideal candidate will teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons and fostering confidence in mathematics.

We welcome both experienced Maths Teachers and ECTs to apply, with a supportive and ambitious school environment and potential for progression through temp-to-perm routes.

Qualifications

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Able to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Committed to raising attainment and improving student outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Teach students across a range of abilities and adapt lessons accordingly.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and progress.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing appropriate feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
  • Inspire students to develop confidence and enthusiasm for Mathematics.

Job description

Milk Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Durham on a long-term supply basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or ECT looking for a stable, full-time position within a supportive and ambitious school environment.

The successful candidate will join a well-established Maths department and be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students to develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Teach students across a range of abilities and adapt lessons accordingly.
