Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd is seeking a motivated Maths Teacher for a secondary school in the Barnsley area to start September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term supply post with an initial temporary contract and a chance to secure a permanent role after a three-month trial.

Open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers, with strong support and development opportunities. The role involves planning and delivering Maths lessons, assessing progress, and contributing to the department

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
• Degree in Mathematics or related subject.
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics in secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of National Curriculum for KS3 & KS4.
• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Two education/school references.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Barnsley area from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term supply position with an initial temporary contract and the opportunity to secure a permanent role following a successful three-month period. Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Proven experience of teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and Maths specifications at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons that drive student progress and attainment.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Two education or school-based references.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
