Supply Desk is recruiting on behalf of a supportive and well-established secondary school in Hatfield, seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team with an immediate start available. In this role, you will deliver engaging Mathematics lessons, differentiate to meet varying abilities, monitor progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

QTS or equivalent is desirable and ASAP start.

Salary: £150 £250 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Mathematics lessons, helping students develop their numerical skills, build confidence, and achieve their full academic potential. You will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to participate, challenge themselves, and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across the relevant secondary school year groups.
• Develop students' understanding of mathematical concepts, problem-solving techniques, and numerical skills.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic development.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Prepare students for assessments and examinations, supporting them in achieving their academic goals.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider Mathematics department.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is desirable.
• A strong subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level is desirable.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• The ability to adapt teaching methods to support students of different abilities.
• A commitment to raising attainment and helping every student reach their potential.
• Availability to start ASAP.
