Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher for a supportive, well-established secondary school in Whitechapel, East London. This role is suitable for a qualified teacher with QTS or an experienced educator looking to inspire students.

You will plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons, differentiate for varied abilities, manage behaviour effectively, and monitor progress with constructive feedback. The school supports ongoing CPD and a collaborative Maths department to help you thrive.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent desirable.
• Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school desirable.
• Ability to plan engaging, differentiated Maths lessons.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons across the secondary age range.
• Adapt teaching and learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Maintain high expectations of student achievement, behaviour, and engagement.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider Maths department and school community.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to assessment and reporting processes.
• Support students in developing confidence, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude towards Mathematics.
