Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a Maths Teacher for a Derby secondary school on a maternity cover starting after October half term 2026. The role is full-time and covers KS3 and KS4, offering a supportive and inclusive school community.

You will deliver engaging Maths lessons, follow schemes of work, assess progress and contribute to departmental development while upholding high expectations for behaviour and literacy.

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Derby to recruit a full time Maths Teacher for a maternity cover starting after October half term 2026. This role will involve teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, full time, and is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school community.

The Role - Maths Teacher (Mainly KS3 with KS4)

As an Maths Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and well-planned Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Follow established schemes of work while bringing creativity to lessons
• Assess, track and support pupil progress effectively
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and literacy
• Contribute positively to the Maths department and wider school ethos

Contract & Salary Details

• Start date: After October half term 2026 (maternity cover)
• Working pattern: full time
• Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
• £180 - £235 per day

Qualifications & Person Specification

The successful candidate will:
