Job summary

Education Personnel are working with a Derby secondary school to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for an immediate start or January 2027. The role covers KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5, with a strong emphasis on delivering the Maths curriculum and supporting students across key stages.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, have at least 6 months of UK secondary teaching experience, and demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills to contribute to the department and school life.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching Maths experience in a UK secondary setting.
• KS3 and KS4 teaching; KS5 teaching possible for Derby.

Responsibilities

• Deliver KS3 & KS4 Maths curriculum, KS5 teaching if experienced in Derby.
• Plan, prepare, and assess Maths lessons in line with department policy.
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate numeracy interventions.
• Contribute to Maths department improvement planning.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings as required.

Pay Rate: £130-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
