Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream college in Warwickshire seeking an experienced GCSE Maths Teacher to support learners resitting their GCSE Maths qualification.

You will engage, be patient and motivational, rebuilding learners' confidence, identifying gaps, and helping students secure a GCSE pass through exam preparation and targeted intervention.

Qualifications

• A first class or 2:1 degree in Maths.
• QTS, PGCE or DTTLS and experience in a further educational environment.
• Experience teaching young people in a diverse setting.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• SEND and Safeguarding experience is desirable.
• DBS on the update service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE Maths lessons focusing on resits.
• Provide targeted intervention to build confidence and skills.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and improve outcomes.

The Head Teacher is looking to appoint an experienced GCSE Maths Teacher to support learners who are resitting their GCSE Maths qualification.

The successful teacher will understand that many resit students may have previously struggled with Maths or lack confidence in the subject. You will need to be an engaging, patient and motivational teacher who can rebuild learners’ confidence, identify gaps in their knowledge and inspire them to believe they can achieve their GCSE.

The role will focus heavily on exam preparation, targeted intervention and improving outcomes, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and helping students develop the skills and confidence required to secure that all-important GCSE pass.

The successful GCSE Maths teacher will have:
