Job summary

Tradewind Education is seeking a Maths Teacher for a full-time, short-term contract in Doncaster. You will deliver high-quality maths lessons across the secondary age range, plan and differentiate instruction, and monitor student progress within a supportive school team.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, and experience teaching maths in secondary school. DBS check (enhanced) is preferred; ECTs are welcome to apply for this temporary opportunity.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to raising student attainment and achievement.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• A professional, reliable and flexible approach.
• An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
• Teach engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and student engagement.
• Differentiate lessons and resources to support individual learning needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff.
• Contribute to departmental planning, assessment and school initiatives where required.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
• Follow the school's safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety policies.
