Job summary

Career Teachers UK is seeking a dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Chesterfield on a temporary basis until December 2026. This role offers Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 3:30pm, with potential permanent opportunities.

You will support children and young people with complex SEN, creating an inclusive learning environment and using tailored teaching approaches to help each pupil reach their potential.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SEN Maths teaching in a specialist setting.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, and challenging behaviours.
• A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
