Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Science & Maths Teaching Assistant for a prestigious secondary school in West London. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support to students, helping improve understanding and communication.

The role is full-time during term time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, at a daily rate of 100–110 GBP. A bachelor's degree in Science or Maths is required; DBS checks and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science/Maths or related field.
  • Experience with young people in educational settings is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to students and staff.
  • Subject to Enhanced DBS check.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science or Maths Graduate - Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a renowned secondary school in West London.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group support to students, focusing on improving their subject understanding, communication skills, specifically with students who also have additional learning needs.
  • Collaborate with Science and Maths teachers to deliver engaging and interactive lessons, catering to the individual needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student engagement and participation.
  • Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities related to English, such as literary clubs, debating societies, or drama productions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Science/Maths or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their educational and personal development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Subject to satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check
