Level 4 Teaching Assistant, Maths specialist – Oldham – September start
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced HLTA to work at an alternative provision on the outskirts of Oldham, to support students in the maths department who are aged 11 – 16 with SEMH needs. This role will require you to work with students on a 121 or small group basis for the whole of the 24/25 academic year on a full time basis.
It is essential that you have experience working in an alternative provision or other educational settings, especially supporting students with SEMH needs. There will be times where you will lead sessions and act as the class teacher. You will deliver engaging sessions and create a calm and positive atmosphere. It is also essential that you have a strong background in maths.

HLTA Experience, Training and Qualifications
* strong background in mathematics
* It is essential that you have HLTA experience, along with a relevant HLTA qualification.
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.
* Experience in Secondary Schools is ESSENTIAL
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last 12 months (essential).
* Up-to-date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential)
* Up to date FGM training (essential),
* Strong behaviour management skills are a must.
