Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with SEN Support — S10 Area Schools
Employer: Teaching Personnel

Location: Primary and secondary schools in the S10 area (Sheffield)
Salary: £100–£120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term or supply roles
Start Date: Immediate and September 2025 starts available

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide targeted SEN support across schools in the S10 area. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, delivering interventions, and working closely with teachers and the SENCO to help all learners thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored interventions and small-group sessions for pupils with SEN
Support teachers in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
Provide in-class support, promoting engagement and inclusion
Monitor and report on pupil progress
Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, parents, and external professionals
Occasionally cover whole classes when required (within HLTA role)

We’re Looking For:
HLTA qualification or equivalent
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
Good behaviour management and the ability to build rapport with pupils
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
