Qualifications
- Maths degree from a UK university.
- Strong understanding of the UK secondary Maths curriculum.
- Good knowledge of KS3 and KS4 Maths and GCSE content.
- Strong Maths subject knowledge.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and in an accessible way.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate young people.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one Maths support
- Working with small groups of pupils
- Delivering targeted Maths interventions
- Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Supporting GCSE Maths revision and booster sessions
- Helping pupils prepare for GCSE examinations
- Supporting pupils with areas such as algebra, geometry, number and statistics
- Building positive relationships with pupils from diverse backgrounds
- Working alongside Maths teachers and wider school staff
- Providing whole-class cover where required
