Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting Maths Graduates to work as Teaching Assistants, Maths Intervention Tutors and Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Bromsgrove and surrounding areas. The roles offer part-time, flexible hours and the chance to gain valuable experience in education while supporting pupils with KS3/KS4 maths.

Qualifications

  • Maths degree or closely related subject from a UK university.
  • Ideally a 2:1 degree or above, although graduates with other degree classifications will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of the UK Secondary Maths curriculum.
  • Good knowledge of KS3 and KS4 Maths and GCSE content.
  • Strong Maths subject knowledge.
  • Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and in an accessible way.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate young people.
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Previous school experience is desirable.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable.
  • Patient, positive and enthusiastic approach.

Job description

Flourish Education are currently recruiting Maths Graduates with a UK university degree and a good understanding of the UK Secondary Maths curriculum to work as Teaching Assistants, Maths Intervention Tutors and Cover Supervisors within secondary schools across Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas.

Are you a Maths Graduate looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school? Perhaps you are considering a career in teaching and want to experience life in a school before committing to teacher training. Alternatively, you may be looking for a part-time or flexible role working with young people where you can put your Maths degree and subject knowledge to good use.

We are looking for enthusiastic Maths Graduates to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role could involve supporting pupils individually or in small groups, delivering Maths interventions, helping with GCSE revision or providing additional support to pupils who need help with particular areas of the Maths curriculum.

With part-time, flexible and longer-term opportunities available, this role is ideal for graduates who want to gain valuable secondary school experience while maintaining flexibility around their other commitments.

Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant, you will receive:
  • £92.59 to £100 day rate, which equates to approximately £17,340 to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity is based across Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas, with a range of flexible opportunities available within secondary schools.

The role is easily commutable from Bromsgrove, Redditch, Droitwich, Worcester, Rubery, Catshill, Alvechurch, Wythall, Barnt Green, Hagley and surrounding areas.

Depending on the location of the school, opportunities may also be accessible from nearby parts of Worcestershire and Birmingham.
