Step Into Teaching are supporting a secondary school in Oxford that is seeking Maths Graduate Teaching Assistants. If you hold a maths degree, this could be ideal for you, with a genuine desire to improve pupils' educational outcomes.

The opportunity includes a September 2026 start, full-time, Monday to Friday, with weekly pay of £500–£530 pro rata (term time only). This role offers valuable classroom experience before teacher training.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and curriculum content.
• Experience in education settings is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities and assist in delivering Mathematics lessons to students of various ages and abilities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tuition to students needing extra help.
• Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources.
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with homework and assignments.
