Job summary

Flourish Education in Oldbury is seeking Science Graduates to work as Teaching Assistants, Science Intervention Tutors and Cover Supervisors in local secondary schools. You will support KS3/KS4 pupils, deliver science interventions and assist in GCSE revision.

Roles are part-time, flexible and long-term to suit your schedule. Ideal candidates have a UK science degree, understand the national curriculum, and can explain concepts clearly while building rapport with pupils from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Science degree or closely related subject from a UK university.
• Strong understanding of the UK secondary Science curriculum.
• Good knowledge of KS3 and KS4 Science and GCSE content.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one Science support.
• Working with small groups of pupils.
• Delivering targeted Science interventions.
• Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils.
• Supporting GCSE Science revision and booster sessions.
• Helping pupils prepare for GCSE examinations.
• Supporting Biology, Chemistry and Physics where appropriate.
• Building positive relationships with pupils from diverse backgrounds.
• Providing whole-class cover where required.
