Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a Maths & English Tutor in Stockton-on-Tees to provide face-to-face 1:1 tuition for students out of a mainstream setting, including those with SEND, SEMH, ASD. The role is long-term to build consistency, break learning barriers and help learners reach their full potential.

Salary is £25-£30 per hour with PAYE, starting November 2026 (or sooner). The successful candidate will have a professional teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) and experience working with

• Experience of working with young people with EHCPs.

The School and Role

The LA are looking for an experienced Teacher to provide face to face tuition to students who are out of a mainstream setting. The desired Maths & English Tutorwill be working 1:1 with students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and ASD.

The Maths & English Tutorrole is long term to provide consistency for students and work towards breaking down barriers to learning and to give the student the confidence to reach their full potential.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• A professional Teaching Qualification (QTS / QTLS)
• Experience of working with young people with EHCPs
• Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
• A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.
