Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd. is hiring SEND Tutors and Teachers to deliver Maths, English, or Science tutoring across in-person, online, and hybrid formats for young people with SEND/SEMH needs in your community.

We value trauma-informed practice, flexible hours, and a commitment to transforming lives. You can work part-time to full-time, with support from our SEND team and CPD resources.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD in a trauma-informed approach.
• Familiar with teaching English, Maths, or Science and able to adapt to learners with SEND.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan and deliver flexible tutoring sessions and monitor progress.
• Maintain regular feedback on student progress to local authorities and schools.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
