Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for 1:1 Tutors in North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate is hardworking, dedicated and eager to help students learn. Experience with children in tutoring, teaching, classrooms or pastoral roles is valued.

Role offers flexible hours (5-40 per week) with a pay rate of GBP20–GBP30 per hour. Right to work in the UK and two professional references required. DBS update service or willingness to apply is expected.

Qualifications

• QTS is desirable, or prior 1:1 tutoring experience.
• Proven track record of improving student performance.
• Team Teach qualification desirable but not required.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training desirable; provided if needed.
• DBS available or willingness to process new DBS.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one tutoring to students during sessions.
• Support students to improve performance and confidence.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS (desired but not required), or Previous experience of working with students on 1:1 basis.
• Proven track record of improving students performances.
• Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable, but not required.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
• DBS on update service.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references from your previous two years of employment.
