Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a 1:1 Tutor in Ripon (HG4). The ideal candidate will be hardworking, dedicated, and eager to support students' learning, with experience working with children in tuition, teaching, classroom, or pastoral roles.

Start date ASAP; End date ongoing. Working hours are flexible (5–40 hours per week). Pay rate £20 - £30 per hour. To be eligible you must have Right to Work in the UK, a DBS (or willing to apply for one), and two professional references.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 1:1 tutoring to students.
• Proven improvement in student performance.
• Team Teach qualification desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one tutoring sessions to pupils in Ripon (HG4).
• Support students to improve learning outcomes and confidence.
• Maintain safeguarding and DBS compliance as required.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS (desired but not required), or Previous experience of working with students on 1:1 basis.
• Proven track record of improving students performances.
• Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable, but not required.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
• DBS on update service.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references from your previous two years of employment.
