Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an Academic Mentor in Maths for a secondary school in Newham. The role focuses on delivering 1:1 and small-group Maths guidance to help students build confidence and improve GCSE outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a strong Maths background, experience tutoring or supporting secondary students, and excellent communication to foster positive relationships with learners and staff. This is a term-time, full-time position in East London.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 Maths support to students
• Lead small-group Maths sessions
• Support GCSE Maths revision and exams preparation
• Monitor student progress and report to teachers
• Collaborate with Maths staff and pastoral teams
• Assist with Year 11 after-school support
• Support Homework Club and Maths trips/activities
• Contribute to Maths-based competitions and events
