Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Academic Mentors to deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions for Key Stage 3 and 4 students in Lancashire. You will work with Heads of Department to identify gaps, design micro-lessons, and accelerate progress in English, Maths or Science.

The role suits experienced tutors or graduates aiming for teacher training (PGCE/School Direct) with regular daytime hours and term-time structure.

Qualifications

• Degree (2:2 or above) in English, Maths, Science or related field.
• Strong A-Levels/GCSEs (Grade 6/B+) in the chosen subject.
• Solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum and GCSE specs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned 1:1 and small-group interventions (2–4 students) for KS3/KS4.
• Identify gaps, design micro-lessons and accelerate pupil progress.
• Track progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
