Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester to recruit a dedicated Teacher of Mathematics. The role covers KS3 and KS4 GCSE, with potential KS5 for experienced applicants, starting in January.

You will join a supportive, well-resourced Maths faculty, delivering high-quality lessons, using data-informed progress tracking, and contributing to enrichment activities. QTS and a maths degree are required, with a passion for making maths engaging.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching credential.
• A strong academic background with a degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or related quantitative field.
• Proven track record delivering Maths lessons across KS3/KS4 (KS5 a bonus).
• Understanding of GCSE curriculum and examination boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR).
• Strong classroom management and clear explanatory skills to make maths accessible.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3/KS4, with KS5 potential based on expertise.
• Prepare pupils for national exams using data-informed tracking and diagnostic feedback.
• Develop students' mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Monitor progress and implement intervention to stretch high achievers.
• Participate in departmental enrichment activities and STEM initiatives.
