Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a well-regarded secondary school in Colchester to recruit a Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about helping pupils build confidence in their maths skills. You will join a supportive Maths Department with strong resources and a commitment to raising attainment.

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across the relevant key stages, delivering well-structured lessons that develop fluency, reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• What you must have: qualified Maths Teacher able to teach across key stages.
• Degree in Mathematics or related subject recommended.
• QTS or PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Ability to plan differentiated lessons for mixed-ability classes.
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics across the relevant key stages with well-structured lessons.
• Develop pupils' fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Explain concepts clearly and provide independent practice.
