Job summary

Harris Academy Clapham, part of the Harris Federation, seeks a Lead Practitioner in Mathematics to drive teaching and learning improvements across the faculty. You will monitor standards, report performance to the governing body, and support school-wide initiatives.

The role covers before/after school duties and KS3/KS4 focus. A strong track record in KS3/KS4 outcomes and DBS checks are required. January start.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent
• Relevant undergraduate degree

Responsibilities

• Lead the improvement of teaching, learning and achievement across the mathematics faculty
• Lead the monitoring, evaluation and review of standards and provision in the subject
• Ensure high quality teaching and learning in the faculty or across the academy
• Account for students' performance in line with academy procedures
• Provide the governing body with accurate information on faculty performance and development
• Ensure the subject knowledge of faculty staff is exemplary
• Ensure behaviour in the faculty is exemplary
• Ensure Schemes of Learning and Independent Work books are of high quality
• Contribute to academy policies and procedures and ensure their consistent implementation
• Collaborate in the Lead Practitioner Team to build a shared vision of excellence and high standards
• Support and take part in Harris Federation work, including strand or subject groups
• Take part in duties at lunch, break, and before and after school
