Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Maternity Support Worker (Band 2) to assist midwives and multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, family-centred care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.

The role involves practical and emotional support, working across a range of maternity settings, and rotating to different areas as needed to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Experience working in maternity or healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to provide both practical and emotional support to women and families.
• Willingness to rotate across different areas of the maternity service.

Responsibilities

• Provide maternity care to women and newborns under supervision across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
• Offer practical and emotional support to women and their families.
• Rotate to different areas within our maternity service as required.
• Act as role model and coach Trainee and Band 2 MSW.
• Contribute to the efficient and effective running of the ward/department.
