Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Safeguarding and Mental Health Maternity Support Worker to join a dedicated team. This Band 3 post supports women and families through safeguarding, perinatal mental health and other vulnerabilities across maternity and community settings.

The role delivers practical, emotional and wellbeing support, signposting and referrals to specialist services. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to work across Trust sites.

Responsibilities

• Support women and families experiencing safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health and social vulnerabilities.
• Provide practical and emotional support, including signposting and referrals to specialist services.
• Support safety plans and monitor maternity appointment attendance, escalating as needed.
• Assist safeguarding and child protection processes.
• Provide maternity and postnatal care within MSW scope, including observations and wellbeing visits.
• Work across hospital and community settings including Children's Centres.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to administrative tasks and data collection.
