Job summary

East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting applications for a full-time Smoke Free Pregnancy Advisor in Maternity. The role supports pregnant smokers and families to quit during pregnancy, providing behavioural support and access to Nicotine Replacement Therapy, with training provided to level 2.

You will manage your own caseload over two to three months, travel between hospital sites and community hubs, and work with the Smoking in Pregnancy Leads to develop and monitor services while

Qualifications

• Provide stop smoking support to pregnant people and families.
• Experience with Nicotine Replacement Therapy and signposting to services.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide stop smoking support throughout pregnancy and the post-natal period.
• Work with the Smoking in Pregnancy Specialist Leads.
• Assist with administration of smokefree pregnancy data collection and collation.
• Order and maintain stocks of nicotine replacement therapy.
• Promote general health and wellbeing.
• Develop and implement stop smoking services in a range of health and community settings.
• Work with minimal indirect supervision.
• Escalate and record any safeguarding issues.
