Job summary

Holcim is offering a Level 3 Construction Materials Technician apprenticeship. You will spend time on site and in the lab, sampling, testing and reporting on the quality of sand, aggregates and bituminous products.

The role includes working with experienced technicians, hands-on learning, and a pathway to professional recognition such as RSciTech. Over 20 months, you’ll blend on-the-job experience with structured training delivered by expert tutors, including a dedicated workplace mentor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing and sampling
• Data recording and reporting
• Teamwork and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Take samples from site and lab and carry out tests on sand, aggregates and bituminous products
• Record results in laboratory systems and ensure data accuracy
• Spot and report issues, help investigate early product concerns and support calibration of equipment
• Work with experienced technicians to build knowledge and provide support to colleagues and customers
