Bristol NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Materials Management Assistant to support wards with stock replenishment and efficient procurement across Southmead Hospital. You will process orders, check deliveries, and maintain safe storage, liaising with clinical teams and suppliers.

The role requires GCSEs, basic IT skills, and an proactive, detail‑oriented approach in a busy NHS environment. Flexible site coverage and part‑time pro rata arrangements apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of supply chains and being well organised.
• Ability to use your own initiative within guidelines.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in a supply chain role; CIPS or HCSA training desirable.
• GCSE standard education; proficient with Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Maintaining agreed stock levels through routine replenishment activity.
• Generating and processing orders using established stock control systems.
• Receiving, checking and unpacking deliveries in line with departmental procedures.
• Ensuring storage areas are safe, organised and maintained to a high standard.
• Building positive working relationships with clinical teams, support services and external suppliers.
• Monitoring stock availability and resolving supply issues to minimise disruption to patient services.
• Working across departments and locations throughout the Southmead Hospital site.
• Supporting the Trust's commitment to efficient procurement and value for money.
