MPA Recruitment is seeking a Materials Services Officer for Craigavon Area Hospital on a temp full-time basis. The role focuses on logistics support, stock control, and procurement system administration within SHSCT.

A background in admin, IT systems, and MS Office is required, with a UK driving licence recommended. The post involves managing EMM stock, processing requisitions, and providing end-user guidance on procurement platforms, on a rota basis with early/late shifts and a March 2027 end

Qualificações

• 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent / higher qualification AND 1 years’ relevant admin experience
• OR 2 years’ relevant admin experience with IT system experience in Finance / Procurement or Logistics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook and hold a UK driving licence with car access

• Liaise with ward/department managers and PaLS team to ensure efficient service
• Assist with monthly/yearly stocktaking and maintain departmental records

Job Title: Materials Services Officer (Band 3)

Location: Craigavon Area Hospital

Contract Type: Temp full time (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 7am -3pm or 9am-5pm) - rota basis

Contract end: 31 March 2027 (likely to be extended)

About the Role

The post holder will be a member of a team providing logistic and system support in the Southern Trust area. The postholder will be able to demonstrate a high level of customer awareness, knowledge of stores inventories and procedures, and be able to deliver effective management of information.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent / higher qualification AND 1 years’ relevant admin experience

OR

• 2 years’ relevant admin experience
• Experience in the use of IT systems within the areas of Finance / Procurement or Logistics.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products to include Outlook.
• Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
  This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for the weekly management, administration and stock control of Trust locations included in EMM (Electronic Materials Management) system. Ensure that EMM stock orders are scanned and processed in line with agreed input deadlines.
• Operation of EMM scanning equipment, analysis of inventory usage and reports and production of replacement bar code labels to reflect adjustments in stock levels. Liaising with Trust ward and department managers and BSO PaLS central EMM team to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service.
• Provide advice, guidance and instruction to end users on operational aspects of FPL eProcurement system and the replacement Equip system.
• Input daily requirements to FPL / replacement Equip system and Micad Systems and process estates maintenance requisitions and present analysis as required.
• Receive, check and process manual SHSCT / GP / Private Customer stock requisitions for stock items available through regional Procurement & Logistics service. Arrange method of payment and collection if necessary.
• Liaise, advise and resolve customer problems regarding requisitions, deliveries and emergency requirements.
• Liaise with BSO PaLS on a daily basis regarding issues and queries.
• Receive, process and record requests from customers requiring goods returned to BSO PaLS.
• Assist in the production of management information reports regarding procurement of goods within SHSCT.
• Maintain, update and file departmental records and undertake secretarial / clerical duties.
• Assist with monthly / yearly stocktaking exercise of stores and wards / departments within SHSCT area.
