Job summary

NES Group Ltd is seeking a proactive Materials Planner for a 12-month contract based in a hybrid office-per-week role. You will work across Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing to ensure critical materials are planned and available.

The role requires 3-5 years' experience in materials/production planning within a manufacturing setting, plus hands-on SAP/Oracle ERP experience. A collaborative cross-functional mindset and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in materials or production planning.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience using SAP and/or Oracle ERP systems.
• Experience supporting production and manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of materials planning and procurement workflows.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and follow up on material requirements to ensure on-time releases.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Procurement to convert requisitions into purchase orders.
• Serve as a central point of contact between Engineering, Sourcing, Procurement, and Manufacturing.
• Track material availability and escalate potential supply issues.
• Ensure alignment and clear communication across multiple stakeholders.
• Maintain continuity of material supply to support manufacturing operations.
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
