Job summary

Stryker in Belfast is seeking an Associate Materials Manager to lead materials, warehouse and logistics in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will develop a high-performing team, ensure safe, compliant and cost-effective material flow, and support site objectives.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration for NPI, capacity planning and improved customer service, while implementing efficient warehouse procedures and systems to enable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Production Management, Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing, distribution or logistics environment
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a supervisory or people management role, including responsibility for leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Experience in logistics operations, warehouse management systems, capacity planning and process optimization.
• Ability to coach, provide effective feedback and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing materials and logistics team.
• Lead the day-to-day management of inbound and outbound materials, warehousing, logistics providers and operational resources, ensuring products are delivered safely, on time and cost-effectively.
• Ensure materials and logistics operations comply with applicable quality, regulatory, financial, trade compliance, health and safety requirements.
• Manage third-party logistics providers, maintain service-level agreements and optimize external partnerships to improve service, capacity and cost performance.
• Drive operational excellence using lean principles, including daily management, standard work, structured problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Manage materials-related budgets, headcount, expenditure and capital requirements, taking corrective action where performance does not meet agreed targets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support new product introductions, business integrations, capacity planning, waste reduction and improved customer service.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of warehouse procedures, systems, technologies and processes to support compliant operations and future business growth.
