Job summary

Stryker Belfast is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to support assembly, testing and packaging of life‑saving medical devices on a fast‑paced production line.

You will follow clear work instructions, perform routine quality checks, label and prepare products for shipment, and maintain a clean, safe work area while collaborating with your team to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs or Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and package medical devices following defined work instructions.
  • Work on a production line to meet daily output targets with accuracy and quality.
  • Perform routine quality checks and record results for compliance.
  • Label, scan, pack and prepare products for shipment to locations.

In this role, you will support the manufacture of Stryker products to the required quality standards, helping ensure our medical devices reach the people who need them.

What you will do
  • Assemble, test, and package medical devices by following clearly defined work instructions and standard processes.
  • Work efficiently on a production line in a fast‑paced environment, balancing speed, accuracy, and quality to meet daily output targets.
  • Carry out routine quality checks, visually inspect products, and record results to support high safety and compliance standards.
  • Accurately label, scan, pack, and prepare products for shipment to internal and external locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safety‑focused work area in line with site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to support smooth day‑to‑day operations and resolve issues promptly.
What you will need
  • GCSEs or a Level 2 qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • A strong team‑player mindset with good communication skills.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, procedures, and quality standards accurately.

Work Flexibility Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field‑based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field‑based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co‑located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
