Job Title: Materials Coordinator (Cross-Site)
Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Materials Coordinator (Cross Site) to lead Materials Management and Warehouse teams across multiple locations. Reporting to the Deputy Materials & Logistics Manager and Materials & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of inventory, stock replenishment, warehouse operations, and service delivery.
You will lead and develop teams, oversee stock audits and formal stock takes, build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, control costs, and ensure products are available where and when they are needed.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in materials management, supply chain or inventory control, strong leadership and organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service within a fast-paced environment. In return, we offer opportunities for development, involvement in service improvement projects, a supportive team culture, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to healthcare services.
While this is a cross-site position, the role is primarily based at the UEL Warehouse in Eastleigh. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with teams across several locations, with travel supported through existing transport arrangements and van runs, reducing the need for independent travel between sites.
UHS Estates Limited (UEL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). Employee Benefits:

The area boasts the stunning New Forest National Park, beautiful beaches along the Jurassic Coast, and living costs around 20% lower than London. With 14 Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” schools, it’s a great place to live and work.
As Materials Coordinator (Cross Site), you will lead and coordinate materials management and warehouse activities across multiple locations, ensuring effective inventory control, stock replenishment, and operational performance.
You will supervise and develop teams, organise stock reviews and stock takes, analyse inventory data, support service improvement projects, and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and suppliers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in materials management, supply chain, warehouse, or inventory environments, along with previous team leadership or supervisory experience. Strong organisational, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential, together with confidence using Microsoft Office and inventory management systems such as Oracle.
The role requires the ability to prioritise workloads, build effective working relationships, and support service delivery across multiple sites.
The role is primarily based at the UEL Warehouse in Eastleigh, with travel to other sites using established transport arrangements where required.
