ITS Building People are recruiting for an experienced Materials Controller to join a busy site in Kidderminster. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established contractor on a long-term project.

As the Materials Controller, you will manage the delivery, storage, and distribution of construction materials to support site operations. The role offers weekly pay and an immediate start for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Materials Controller or similar on a construction site.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking all site deliveries.
• Organising and maintaining materials storage areas.
• Issuing materials to site operatives as required.
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Liaising with suppliers and site management regarding deliveries.
• Keeping accurate records of deliveries and stock movements.
• Ensuring materials are stored safely and securely.

As the Materials Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site by managing the delivery, storage, and distribution of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking all site deliveries.
• Organising and maintaining the materials storage areas.
• Issuing materials to site operatives as required.
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Liaising with suppliers and site management regarding deliveries.
• Keeping accurate records of deliveries and stock movements.
• Ensuring materials are stored safely and securely.
• Maintaining a clean and organised yard and storage areas.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Materials Controller, Stores Person, Yard Operative or similar role on a construction site.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Forklift/Telehandler experience or certification is advantageous but not essential.
• CSCS Card preferred.
