Job summary

SF Partners are recruiting a Material Planner Analyst for a Coventry CV7 based business. The role supports the MP&A team to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and customer demand.

You will forecast demand, manage stock levels, liaise with production, warehouse and logistics, and generate regular reports to drive efficient supply chain decisions. This is an office-based, full-time position offering stability in a growing manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support in daily MP&A activities to ensure material supply aligns with production schedules and customer demand.
• Maintain sufficient material inventory to meet schedule plans.
• Forecast demand to internal and sub-contract supply base using the long-term forecast and sales input.
• Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
• Minimise obsolete stock and liabilities.
• Engage daily with production and logistics teams to communicate requirements or constraints.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics to ensure dispatches are understood and fulfilled.
• Create regular statistical reports and analyses for the organisation.
• Convert customer schedules into a PSM conforming format for cross-department use.

Job Overview

To join the MP&A team as a support function to the MP&A Manager. Responsible for ensuring that the supply of materials through internal production to meet customer schedule demand, and minimum stock levels, to ensure operational and supply continuity. Able to deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production & customer requirements. Maintains strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure supply of materials meets requirements.

• Support in the day-to-day contact with the customer base, understanding any changes to the schedule and expediting parts through to delivery.
• Ensuring sufficient material inventory levels are available to meet customer schedule plan.
• Forecast demand to the internal and sub-contract supply base, using the long-term sales forecast and intelligence from the sales team.
• Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions
• Minimise obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability
• Daily engagement with the production and logistic teams communicating any flex in the customer requirements or constraints from the supply base.
• Strong communication with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure dispatches are understood and satisfied.
• Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in the organisation.
• Responsible for the manipulation of customer schedules received via portal, email, or spreadsheet into a PSM conforming format to enable ease of interpretation across company departments
