Job summary

Ford & Stanley TalentWise is recruiting a Materials Controller at their Crewe facility. The role focuses on ensuring smooth materials flow, stock accuracy, and support for procurement and logistics in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Responsibilities include goods inwards, requisitions, order processing, and stock monitoring to meet operational demands. The position offers a 4 on, 4 off dayshift pattern and development opportunities.

  • Experience Operating FLT Trucks.
  • Experience processing purchase orders and managing inventory.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Materials Controller

Location: Crewe

Salary: £31,521

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off Days (07:00 - 19:00)

About the Opportunity

Ford & Stanley are excited to be partnering with our client at their Crewe Vehicle Maintenance Facility to recruit a Materials Controller for this exciting and business-critical opportunity.

Following a recent merger and a period of significant investment and transformation, the organisation is continuing to strengthen and modernise its materials and supply chain operations. This role offers the opportunity to become part of a growing and forward-thinking team that is committed to driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and best-in-class materials management practices.

As a Materials Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient flow, control, and availability of materials across the facility, directly supporting maintenance and operational activities. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting procurement activities, coordinating logistics processes, and ensuring materials are available when required to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements
  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Eligibility to drive company vehicles in accordance with the company's motor insurance policy.
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points.
